5-Day Teacher Training & Certification Guide

1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Certified Online Tutoring Program (COTP) is a practical five-day training designed to equip selected educators with the skills required to teach effectively online, engage learners, conduct assessments, and create and publish structured online courses on the AcadEx platform.

The program combines Tutor Training with a practical Tutor Lab, ensuring that participants develop both teaching and digital course-development competencies.

2. TRAINING SCHEDULE & FLEXIBILITY

The training is conducted entirely online to provide participants with maximum flexibility.

Training Duration: 5 Days
Daily Study Commitment: 2 hours per day
Content Release Time: 4:00 PM daily
Mode: Online / Self-paced and flexible
Access: Participants may log in and study at any convenient time after the daily materials are released.

The daily training videos, presentations, practical instructions, and other learning materials will be made available on the AcadEx platform at 4:00 PM each day.

Participants are not required to attend at a fixed hour. However, each trainee is expected to dedicate at least two hours daily to the assigned training activities and complete the required tasks within the stipulated period.

This flexible structure allows participants to balance the training with their existing professional and personal commitments while maintaining the required level of participation.

3. TRAINING FEE

FREE TRAINING FOR SELECTED EDUCATORS

The Certified Online Tutoring Program is provided free of charge to all educators officially selected by AcadEx for the training.

Selected participants will receive access to the training materials, videos, practical activities, and the AcadEx learning environment without paying a training fee.

Important: Free training access does not automatically guarantee certification. Certification remains subject to the applicable certification requirements and successful completion of the program.

4. TRAINING STRUCTURE

PART I — TUTOR TRAINING

Days 1–3

DAY 1 — Orientation & Foundations

Focus: Becoming an Effective Online Tutor

AcadEx tutoring standards and ethics
Roles and responsibilities of an online tutor
Introduction to online tutoring
Qualities of an effective online tutor
Tutor Readiness Quiz

Expected Outcome:
Participants understand the responsibilities, standards, and professional expectations of an AcadEx online tutor.

DAY 2 — Online Teaching & Learner Engagement

Focus: Delivering Effective Online Lessons

Online teaching tools and AcadEx platform
Lesson delivery and presentation
Student engagement strategies
Virtual classroom management
Professional communication with learners

Expected Outcome:
Participants develop the ability to deliver engaging online lessons and communicate effectively with learners.

DAY 3 — Lesson Planning, Assessment & Professional Practice

Focus: Measuring Learning & Maintaining Professional Standards

Online lesson planning
Creating engaging lessons
Online quizzes and assignments
Feedback and grading
Academic integrity and professionalism
Final Teaching Assessment

PART II — TUTOR LAB

COURSE DEVELOPMENT & PUBLISHING

Days 4–5

DAY 4 — Course Creation & Lesson Development

Creating an online course

Practical Task:
Participants begin developing a mini online course.

DAY 5 — Uploading, Organizing & Publishing

Creating a course on AcadEx
Uploading lessons and resources
Organizing modules and lessons
Adding quizzes and assignments
Course review and quality control
Publishing an online course
Mini Course Submission

Expected Outcome:
Participants demonstrate their ability to create, organize, and prepare an online course for publication on AcadEx.

5. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Certification is based on competence, participation, and successful completion of the required assessments, not merely attendance.

To qualify for an AcadEx Certified Online Tutor Certificate, participants must:

Complete the five-day training program.
Dedicate the required two hours of study per day.
Complete all required training activities and practical assignments.
Successfully complete the Course development project
Meet the minimum performance score established by AcadEx.
Comply with AcadEx professional, academic, and ethical standards.

Participants who fail to meet the required standards may be required to complete additional tasks or assessments before certification is approved.

6. CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion of all requirements, eligible participants will receive an official AcadEx Certified Online Tutor Certificate.

The certificate formally recognizes the participant’s successful completion of the Certified Online Tutoring Program and demonstrated competencies in online tutoring and digital course development.

Training access is free for selected educators; certification is subject to successful completion of the stated certification requirements and any applicable certification process.

7. FINAL EXPECTATION AND ONBOARDING

At the end of the program, a successful participant should be able to:
