CUSTOMS CONCOURS RESULTS 2025, WHAT NEXT ?

Waiting for the 2025 Customs concours Results?

Get ready for what comes next—now.

This clear step-by-step guide shows you the order of procedures, the documents to gather, and the smart “money” decisions to make.

Goal: save time, avoid mistakes, and start your service without stress.

👉 Quick question for you: have you already gathered your documents and noted all key deadlines?

1) Publication of Results: What to Do Immediately

  • Check the official publication order and keep a copy (both digital and paper).
  • Read your summons carefully: note dates, location, and required documents (ID card, diplomas, photos, birth certificate, criminal record, bank details, etc.).
  • Anticipate the medical check-up: standard fitness exams, vaccination card, and recent test results if requested.

💡 Good to know: Customs medical tests are generally less restrictive than those for some other uniformed services (e.g., Police, Army, etc…). Persons living with disabilities may be admitted under applicable legal provisions.

2) Integration into the Customs Civil Service

You will be integrated according to your category and grade:

  • Category C – Assistant Controllers of Financial Administrations (Customs)
  • Category D – Clerks of Financial Administrations / Customs Assistants

What integration changes:

  • You receive a Matricule number, a posting, and a pay scale.
  • You gain access to allowances, bonuses, and initial training.
  • You become subject to statutory obligations (attendance, ethics, confidentiality, neutrality).

3) Administrative Formalities: Appointment Act & Start of Service

Typical required documents (may vary by summons):

  • National ID card, certified copies of diplomas, birth certificate, criminal record, 4×4 photos, bank details (RIB), family status certificate, medical certificates.
  • Signing of the appointment act, assumption of duty (mission/assignment order), and opening of your administrative file.

Deadlines & follow-up:

  • Expect multiple visits for submission and validation.
  • Organize your files in folders (originals / copies / receipts).
  • Keep every proof (receipts, acknowledgements, emails, SMS).

4) Duties and job description : How It’s Decided & How to Prepare

Assignments depend on service needs (ports, airports, brigades, customs offices, border posts), your profile, and sometimes justified family constraints.

Before arrival:

  • Research housing and transport; prepare a budget estimate (rent, deposit, utilities, internet).
  • Prepare a starter kit: notebook, file folders, USB keys, appropriate clothing, closed shoes.
  • Gather administrative contacts (head of service, HR, logistics).

5) Initial Training: Content, Location & Duration

  • Location: Yaoundé, within ENAM (Department of Financial Administrations) and partner sites.
  • Content: customs techniques, legislation, tariff classification, valuation, risk management, ethics, GUCE procedures, IT tools.
  • Format: theoretical courses + practical exercises (document checks, targeting, field operations).
  • Duration: minimum 6 months (may vary depending on exemptions/position).

✅ Good news: Part of your salary is paid during training/initial service (according to payroll schedule).

6) Salary, Bonuses & First “Money” Decisions

Understanding your pay:

  • Base salary (linked to grade).
  • Bonuses (performance, duty, hardship, etc.).
  • Allowances (housing/transport depending on post).
  • Deductions (taxes, social contributions).

Learn to read your payslip line by line (taxable net, net payable, advances).

7) Ethics, Confidentiality & Best Practices

  • Neutrality & integrity: conflicts of interest are forbidden; duty of discretion applies; strict confidentiality for all handled information.
  • Traceability: simple habits (document registers, scanned copies, standardized file names).
  • Cybersecurity: strong passwords, locked screens, vigilance against suspicious emails.

We continue to wish you the best 👏
