AcadEx TUTOR RECRUITMENT AND CERTIFICATION 

Upon successful certification, AcadEx-certified tutors are officially recruited to teach on the AcadEx learning platform and approved partner platforms, in accordance with AcadEx standards. Certified tutors are entitled to standardized remuneration (pay)  as determined by AcadEx policies, subject to role, category, workload, and performance.

Our Certificates are recognized by many organizations who seek to recruit AcadEx Certified Tutors.

1. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants seeking certification and recruitment as tutors by AcadEx must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must possess a relevant academic or professional qualification:
    • Academic Stream: Minimum of Advanced Level GCE or its equivalent
    • Professional Stream: A recognized professional qualification in the relevant field
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, particularly for online instruction
  • Exhibit ethical conduct, integrity, and professional behavior
  • Demonstrate a clear passion for teaching, mentorship, and learner support

2. Application Process

Applicants shall complete and submit the AcadEx Tutor Application Form through the link https://acadexcognitive.com/teacher-application-form/

Then send a motivational letter via email to info@acadexcognitive.com , accompanied by the following documents:

  • Academic and/or professional certificates (PDF format)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV), Résumé, or Professional Portfolio
  • Valid National ID Card or Passport
  • Professional passport-size photograph

Incomplete or unverifiable applications may be rejected.

3. Selection and Screening Stage

All applications are subjected to a structured selection process, including:

  • Academic competence verification
  • Pedagogical and instructional capability assessment
  • Moral character, discipline, and integrity checks

Only applicants who meet all selection criteria shall proceed to training.

4. AcadEx Tutor Training Program

Selected candidates shall undergo a mandatory, structured training program designed to develop high-quality online and blended learning educators.

The training program includes, but is not limited to:

a. Online Teaching Pedagogy

  • Principles of effective online and blended teaching
  • Learner-centered and outcome-based education
  • Inclusive teaching and differentiated instruction

b. Instructional Design & Lesson Planning

  • Digital lesson planning and structuring
  • Curriculum alignment with national and international standards
  • Designing engaging learning objectives and outcomes

c. Student Engagement & Classroom Management

  • Online student engagement strategies
  • Managing virtual classrooms and discussion forums
  • Motivational techniques and learner retention

d. Assessment, Evaluation & Feedback

  • Formative and summative assessment methods
  • Online testing and assignment design
  • Constructive feedback and academic reporting

e. Ethics, Child Protection & Academic Integrity

  • Professional ethics and code of conduct
  • Child safeguarding and learner protection policies
  • Plagiarism prevention and academic honesty

f. Digital Platforms & Teaching Tools

  • Use of the AcadEx academic platform
  • Integration with partner learning platforms
  • Effective use of didactic materials, digital tools, and learning analytics

5. Assessment and Evaluation

Upon completion of training, candidates shall undergo:

  • A supervised teaching session (live or recorded)
  • Comprehensive performance evaluation based on:
    • Subject mastery
    • Teaching clarity and engagement
    • Professionalism and platform competence

Only candidates who attain the minimum required score shall qualify for certification and recruitment.

6. Certification and Recruitment

Successful candidates shall be:

  • Officially certified and recruited by AcadEx
  • Issued with:
    • Official AcadEx Tutor Certificate(s)
    • Digital and physical certification badges
    • A unique AcadEx Staff Matricule (Tutor ID)
  • Authorized to use the professional title:
    “Certified by AcadEx”

Certification may be:

  • Subject-specific
  • Level-specific
  • Course-specific

All certifications bear:

  • Tutor’s full name
  • Department and authorized subjects
  • Unique Staff Matricule
  • Date of issue and validity period
  • Official AcadEx signatory

7. Issuance, Recognition, and Branding

Upon certification and recruitment, AcadEx shall provide:

  • Digital and physical certificates and badges
  • An official tutor profile on the AcadEx website and platforms
  • Branding rights, strictly subject to AcadEx branding and communication policies

8. Compliance, Suspension, and Revocation

AcadEx reserves the right to suspend or revoke certification and recruitment status in cases of:

  • Professional misconduct
  • Poor teaching performance
  • Breach of AcadEx policies, standards, or ethical guidelines

Classification of AcadEx Tutor Certifications and Categories

A. Tutor Certification Categories

Category C – Assistant Tutor

  • Entry-level certified tutors
  • Supports instruction, tutorials, and guided sessions
  • Limited subject or level authorization

Category B – Certified Tutor

  • Fully certified tutors
  • Authorized to independently teach assigned subjects or courses
  • Eligible for standard remuneration

Category A – Senior Tutor

  • Highly experienced and high-performing tutors
  • May mentor junior tutors
  • Handles advanced or specialized courses

  • Appointed by AcadEx governing authority
