Terms & Conditions for Authors
1. Introduction
This establishes the terms and conditions governing the relationship between the platform (hereinafter referred to as “AcadEx”) and the participating individual or organization (hereinafter referred to as “the Author”).
By joining the AcadEx Authors Partnership Program (APP), the Author agrees to abide by the terms outlined.
2. Purpose
The purpose of this contract is to:
- Enable Authors to publish high-quality academic and professional content on AcadEx website and platform
- Promote knowledge dissemination and educational excellence
- Provide a structured framework for authors to share contents with a global audience. Hence, be entitled to the prestige and priviledges that entails.
3. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for participation in the Program, the Author must:
- Be certified by AcadEx or by a recognized academic or professional body of acceptable standard
- Uncertified individuals may be required to successfully complete the AcadEx training and certification program before approval
- Demonstrate competence and expertise in the relevant Content niche
- Comply fully with AcadEx Publishing Standards and Guidelines
4. Scope of Content
The Author shall publish content including, but not limited to:
- Articles
- Blog posts
- E-Books
- Professional skill-based training content
- Research-based educational or professional materials
- Lecture notes and study guides
- Educational textbooks and revision materials
- Any other permitted content type
Restrictions:
- The Author shall not publish content that is already available on the AcadEx platform, unless expressly authorized or approved for improvement, update, or versioning
- All content must be original, relevant, and aligned with AcadEx quality standards
5. Content Ownership & Rights
- The Author retains full intellectual property rights to their content
- By publishing on AcadEx, the Author grants AcadEx a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-bearing license to:
- Publish, distribute, and display the content
- Promote the content across platforms
- Use excerpts for promotional purposes
- AcadEx reserves the right to remove, edit, or restrict content that violates its policies or quality standards
6. Revenue Sharing Model (For Priced Contents)
- Revenue from income generating contents shall be shared as follows:
Author: 60% | AcadEx: 40% - Payments shall be processed periodically, subject to minimum payout thresholds
- AcadEx reserves the right to:
- Adjust pricing for promotional campaigns only
- Offer discounts or bundles affecting overall revenue
7. Quality Assurance & Review
- Contents submitted by the Author may undergo a review after publication, if need arises.
- AcadEx reserves the right to:
- Request revisions
- Reject content that does not meet required standards
8. Author Responsibilities
The Author agrees to:
- Maintain high academic, ethical, and professional standards
- Ensure all content is original and free from plagiarism
- Update content where necessary to maintain relevance and accuracy
- Respond promptly to feedback or revision requests
- Avoid misleading, inaccurate, or harmful information
9. Rights, Duties, and Code of Conduct of the Author
9.1 Rights of the Author
The Author shall have the right to:
- Be credited as the original creator of their content
- Hold the title of an AcadEx Author and the prestige it brings
- Access performance insights related to their published content
- Update, revise, or improve their content subject to AcadEx approval
- Withdraw content in accordance with AcadEx policies and any applicable notice requirements
- Contents may be monitized in which case the author shall receive fair and timely compensation in accordance with the agreed revenue-sharing model
- Be notified of any significant changes or ammendments of terms.
9.2 Duties of the Author
The Author shall:
- Ensure that all submitted content is original, accurate, and of high quality
- Adhere strictly to AcadEx Publishing Standards and Guidelines
- Ensure that content does not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with AcadEx and its users
- Promptly address requested corrections, updates, or revisions
- Keep an updated author’s profile with true and verifiable information only.
9.3 Code of Conduct
The Author agrees to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism and shall:
- Act honestly and in good faith in all dealings related to their publications
- Avoid plagiarism, misrepresentation, and academic dishonesty
- Refrain from publishing misleading, harmful, or unethical content
- Respect intellectual property rights of other creators and institutions
- Avoid conflicts of interest that may compromise content integrity
- Refrain from any activity that may damage the high reputation of AcadEx
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards
Any breach of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or termination of the contract.
10. Termination
The Author may terminate participation by providing written notice to AcadEx.
AcadEx reserves the right to terminate this contract if:
- Submitted content consistently fails to meet quality standards
- There is evidence of fraud, misconduct, or ethical violations
11. Confidentiality
The Author agrees not to disclose:
- Internal operations or business strategies of AcadEx
- Confidential revenue structures beyond publicly available terms
12. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by:
- Applicable international laws relating to intellectual property, copyright, and digital content distribution
13. Acceptance of Terms
By joining the AcadEx Authors Partnership Program, the Author confirms that they:
- Have read and understood these terms
- Agree to comply with all terms and conditions
